When Moore was 14, they fled their parents’ home owing to their transphobia and entered into the foster care system. They moved around within the system, eventually living in all five boroughs of #NewYorkCity, and they dropped out of high school owing to the intense bullying they endured. At 15, they began working as a model and worked for Dior and Gucci. Soon after becoming involved in modeling, they became introduced to the #HouseOfXtravaganza, who eventually convinced Moore to become involved in acting. Starting out with a role in the independent film #SaturdayChurch Moore eventually went on to star on the TV show #Pose, playing a transgender sex worker who is part of the #HouseOfEvangelista. The same year they started working on Pose, they signed a contract with #IMGModels and #WilliamMorrisEndeavor (as their first trans actor). In 2019, Moore became the first transgender person to be featured on the cover of #Elle magazine in the U.S.. In interviews, Moore has discussed the discrimination they endure as being both non-binary and transgender as well as enduring sexism for being seen as a cisgender woman. They have also used their platform to highlight issues surrounding racism, transphobia, and the massive number of trans women of color who are murdered each year. #PrideMonth #LGBTQIA #LGBTQIAPride #Pride🌈 #LegendsOfPride #YouCannotEraseUs
