Ryan Russell

#RyanRussell (January 17, 1992 – ): Russell is an American football player (defensive end) who played at #PurdueUniversity, then professionally played for the #DallasCowboys in 2015, the #TampaBayBuccaneers for the 2016 and 2017 seasons, and then signed on with the #BuffaloBills for the 2018 season before being released owing to a shoulder injury which prevented him from playing that season. He is currently a free agent. In August of 2019, Russell announced in an essay for #ESPN that he is bisexual. He said that he came out because he wanted to live honestly, but he admitted that he waited to come out because he didn’t want his career to be threatened (which allows him to support his mother and grandfather). Soon afterward, he introduced his boyfriend, dancer Corey O’Brien, and they created a YouTube channel “Corey & Russ” (which as of this month has 17,600 followers), where they discuss relationship issues and current events. If signed to a team, Russell will become the only openly LGBTQ athlete in the four major American sports leagues (though many say that there are plenty closeted players in each league and on almost every team). #PrideMonth #LGBTQIA #LGBTQIAPride #Pride🌈 #LegendsOfPride #YouCannotEraseUs
