#DarnellLMoore (January 24, 1976 – ): A writer who focuses on themes of anti-racism, feminism, queer theory and anti-colonial thought and advocacy for each of these causes, his writing has been featured in the #FeministWire, #Ebony, and #TheHuffingtonPost. Raised in #Camden, #NewJersey, he was appointed by then #Newark Mayor #CoryBooker to serve as the Chair of Newark’s #LGBTConcernsAdvisoryCommission, the first group of its kind in New Jersey. He also served as co-chair of the #QueerNewarkOralHistoryProject, which created an archive to chronicle the lives of LGBTQIA Newarkers. Over the years he has written and reviewed articles about being black and being queer for many publications including #BlackTheology and #Pneuma. Together with former NFL plyer #WadeDavisII, he writes a column for Huffington Post focusing on black manhood and queer politics called #TonguesUntied. In 2018 he published his memoir about his experience of a black queer Newarker in #NoAshesInTheFire. He is responsible for contributing to the creation of the term #Intralocality, which according to him “is concerned with the social locations that foreground our knowing and experiencing of our world and our relationships to the systems and people within our world. Intralocality is a call to theorize the self in relation to power and privilege, powerlessness and subjugation. It is work that requires the locating of the ‘I’ in the intersection. And while it could be argued that such work is highly individualistic, I contend that it is at the very level of self-in-relation-to-community where communal transformation is made possible.” Currently he is a Director of Inclusion for Content and Marketing for #Netflix. #PrideMonth #LGBTQIA #LGBTQIAPride #Pride #LegendsOfPride #YouCannotEraseUs
